OUR PROCESS

At Azimuth Legal Solutions PLLC, we guide you through every step with clarity and care:

Initial Consultation
There is a joke that a good estate plan only deals with two things.  Everyone you care about and everything you own.  The personal nature of planning means you need to feel comfortable with your attorney and be willing to share and discuss these items with us.  Therefore, the first step in our planning process is a conversation to ensure that we are comfortable working together.  This is the consultation.

If we agree to work together, we’ll start right away to identify the issues and elements that will impact your plan.  We’ll discuss solutions and feature of the plan that will address those issues. This is our first design session.
While the design session will focus on concerns and people, the next meeting starts the funding process. We’ll review your assets and discuss specifics about how they fit into the plan.  We’ll also confirm that we have names spelled correctly and follow up on any design elements that are open.

Most of the time, we’ll have your plan ready to draft following those two meetings. Additional meetings may be scheduled if we need to address questions or finalize the design, otherwise we’ll proceed to the signing meeting.
Once drafted, your plan has a variety of documents which need to be signed, some also notarized and witnessed.
After signing, we’ll also review and confirm the steps to ensure that all of your assets are funded correctly.
After your plan is created, we remain available to assist and guide through the funding process.  It may be that you need to make changes or updates to the plan.  We’ll help with both for 6 months following signing, typically at no extra charge.  After 6 months, we’ll continue to be available, but additional work may incur additional charges as appropriate.
